This track was written during the Covid19 pandemic. In the midst of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, political shadiness, talking heads yapping like grown ups in a Charlie Brown special, isolation, frustration, anger, confusion, a dream/nightmare that you can't seem to wake up from, etc. It's a bit of a conversation with one's self. The stream of consciousness back and forth of the mind and often the ego (which must be silenced to break on through to salvation or transformation if you will). In the end "this love cannot be an isolated sea" - i.e. love is the only answer to all the madness.

It is a collaboration with my friend Troy Everett and features the artwork of Umar Rashid. I stumbled across Troy's instagram page awhile back and loved his music. I suggested that we should collaborate and this is the track is the result of that idea.

The cover artwork is a piece by my friend - the outstanding Umar Rashid. Umar and I have been friends for a long time and I've always wanted to work on something with him because he's incredible and I've always been a huge fan of his work. I am forever grateful to have his painting serve as the cover art for this single.
